Mr. Mathew D. Guerrieri

Deputy Director, Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC)

Mathew “Mat” D. Guerrieri assumed duties as Deputy Director of the Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC) in October 2018. Mat is the principal advisor to the JTNC Director regarding the coordination and oversight in the development of policies, procedures, and effective management in all areas of risk, compliance, communications, governance, process improvement, and strategic oversight of the organization. He provides JTNC leadership and direction in satisfying all assigned mission requirements while managing and coordinating all JTNC staffing requirements, internal and external communications, and policy development.
 
Previously, Mat served as an Assistant Program Manager for Engineering (APM-E) with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) 5.0. Mat’s experience in acquisition and program management began when he served as the Assistant United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Capabilities Manager for Sensor Processing at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He also served as the Brigade Integration and Technology Officer for the 407th Army Field Support Brigade at Fort Hood, Texas. Soon after, he was then selected as a RAND Fellow with service in Santa Monica, California. After completing the fellowship, Mat served in the Army’s Global Positioning Systems Division for Program Executive Officer, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Mat’s final service tour was with the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) as the product manager for networking waveforms.
 
Mat was born in Long Beach, California and grew up in western Colorado. He attended and was commissioned in 1993 at the United States Military Academy to the Army Corps of Engineers. Mat served on active duty for 21 years as an Engineer and Army Acquisition Corps officer.
 
Mat’s education includes a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Science from the University of Missouri – Rolla, and a Master of Engineering from the University of Florida.  He is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College, holds a Professional Engineer license, is a certified Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and earned a professional certificate in Model Based Systems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mat is Level III certified in Program Management and Engineering.
